Friedrich August I. became 1694 Elector of Saxon and 1697 as August II
king of Poland, because of his legendary force he is named August the strong.
He has stamped Saxon like no other, as owner  from baroque palaces
- from the "Zwinger" up to the "Frauenkirche" - and founder of the
porcelaine manufacture in Meissen.
He also sped up the development of the art collections and the measurement
